Range Waiver and Safety Rules Acknowledgment

1. The four rules. I have read and will follow them every second I am on the line. Treat every firearm as loaded. Never point a firearm at anything I am not willing to destroy. Keep my finger off the trigger until my sights are on the target and I have decided to fire. Be certain of my target and what is beyond it.
2. The range's own rules. I will follow the posted rules and every instruction from the range safety officer immediately and without argument, including the commands to cease fire, to unload and show clear, and to stand back from the bench. I understand that a range safety officer may end my session at any time and that no refund is owed if they do.
3. Eyes and ears. I will wear eye and hearing protection meeting protection standard at all times past the line marked, and so will anybody I bring to watch.
4. Firearms and ammunition. The firearms I bring are lawfully mine to possess and are in safe working order. I will use only ammunition the range permits: permitted ammunition. No steel core, no tracer, no incendiary, and nothing the posted rules exclude.
5. Handling and the line. Firearms are cased until I am at the bench and cased again before I leave it. Handling happens only at the firing line, never behind it, and never while anyone is downrange.
6. Alcohol and drugs. I have not been drinking and am not under the influence of anything that affects judgement or coordination, and I understand I will be asked to leave if that turns out not to be true.
7. The risks. Shooting is loud, produces heat, hot brass, fragments, ricochets and airborne lead, and injury is possible even when everything is done correctly. I accept those risks for myself, and I will wash before eating.
8. Release. To the extent the law where business name operates allows, I release business name, its owners and staff from claims for injury, loss or damage arising from my ordinary use of the range, other than claims arising from their negligence or misconduct that the law does not let a release cover.
9. Eligibility. I am not prohibited by law from possessing a firearm or from being on this range.
